When we arrived at Hotel Mykink I, they said they had no record of our booking, even after I showed them the internet booking form. They said frequently the internet websites do not notify them of bookings..... This is also after someone from the hotel had sent me a personal email asking if we would like to be picked up from the airport! We had to pay the full rate for the room as he would not take into accout that we had booked it through you.

This was a total scam! Arrived at the hotel hot and tired to find that they had no notification of my reservation and no knowledge of my 10 per cent deposit; there was no room available but they did have a room at another of their hotels - for an extra 4 USD but no breakfast included!!! (surprise, surprise). cos we were tired we accepted the other room reluctantly, but trying to get back the money i wasted with this hotel is proving impossible, as is the refund of the 2 USD i wasted by booking with hostels.com. don't bother booking ahead - there are plenty of cheap places to stay - but be warned - UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO THE CAMELIA

Hotel was in good location in "old quarter" - staff friendly - i know it was only a "1" Star Hotel - but the bed sheets were dirty, mattress was only about an inch thick (bed very hard)& bath towells were very small - like a babys towell, & had brown stains all over them, apart from that it was ok.

Gave our room away and wanted to charge us for the extra bed in the room they had left! Apparently we agreed to the night clerk with poor english? They asked us to change rooms, and instead of giving us a double they put us in another three bed, to charge us again for extra bed! Doing anything to gain more money! Rooms also had an ant problem.

We found the staff here to be very helpful and accomodating. The hotel was close to shops and restaurants and also had a massage and tour booking service offered downstairs.

It is a Scam. They booked a taxi from the airport that charged 13 USD whereas the usual price is 10 USD. We booked a double room and when we arrived only a dirty twin room was available. When we wanted to leave all of a sudden, the room we booked was available. The picture on the website do not correspond to the real rooms.
