A smallish, quiet hostel, so not ideal for those looking for a party, but ideal for what we wanted. The garden area was being landscaped whilst we were there, but when finished will be a great place to relax. Friendly staff and a lovely dog! The location might not be central enough for those who are not familiar with Nanjing.

I had a great time. The staff was great, they were very friendly, and they all spoke english very well. There is no clerk on during the later night, which is a bother if you have to catch an early flight. I had to check out the ngiht before, and leave my key with the security guard( but I forgot and just left it with my roomie). The location was actually pretty good, although the street it is on is tricky to find. It looks moe like an alley or driveway. No cabdrivers know where it is. They have a big sign, but I didn't see it from the direction I was walking, so I missed it. As far as cleanliness goes, you are in China. Nothing is clean. But they do a good job here. i met a ton of cool people. i would recommend it. But make sure you get very clear directions, maybe with some landmarks to help guide you.

Hard to find. The Location is a small alley on the east side of Shanghai road. Try to spot a sign of the Jasmine Youth Hostel at the top of a slight elevation in the area between Hankou road and Guangzhou road crossroads. The alley begins uphill and is partly covered in bushes / trees. A walk of about 100m along the alley from Shanghai road takes you there. Otherwise everything is bueno.

The lounge area was always busy, great atmosphere. The check-in took a bit long, but after that, staff was very helpful! The shared washrooms were a bit inconvenient, there's one women bathroom on the 2nd floor (which had a light that didn't work, so going at night was unpleasant) and one men's bathroom on the 1st floor. They didn't hold my reservation for a 3-bed dorm, but gave us a 4-bed dorm at the same price, and did not let anyone else check-in our room.

Free wireless internet and the room there for everyone to use it was good. My room was near the road, where you easily hear the doorbell when latecomers come in. I thought it might be a problem, but it wasn\\\\\\\'t for me--I can sleep through a lot, but I can imagine others might find it tough. Overall very good! I\\\\\\\'d definitely stay there again!

Nice setting but didn't like having to go to reception to get a key for the showers. Didn't understand why they needed to be locked?! Also lots and lots of mosquitoes. Staff very friendly but english not great.

The photos are misleading - it looks like a big white house with a large garden. In fact it\'s a sort of dirty grey, has a v. small garden and is surrounded by blocks of flats. The dogs were annoying too.

Nice old building with wooden stairs and floors. Large room. Big double-bed with excellent mattress. Clean bathroom with bathtub. Situated at a quiet small street in the university quarter of Nanjing. Inviting patio area.

There was a large open space in the wall near the window where the room connects to the other room. It was difficult to sleep because the people on the other side kept talking.

An old building with dark halls. Felt like a boarding house for students and teachers- who spread out in the cramped common area. 7 watt lights eco-lights too weak for reading and make rooms dull. The 'garden' is a paved, pebbled yard and had several tents and a noisy one outside our window Noisy construction all day.
