  • Staff at the front desk were very attentive and professional. Later as I walked through the place I realized that it was quite gloomy. Dust bunnies everywhere and stale air. Anyhow the location is central, but a bit rough walking past the homeless shelters to get to Yonge. Oh well. Hard time falling asleep because of all the noise from the bars. Overall though, for twenty four bucks it is secure, didn't find any bugs and the people, guests included, were pleasant. Okay in a pinch.

  • Great location. Good space and amenities, especially for the price. Easy going. I'd stay here again.

  • I was surprised to find that our room was not a bunch of bunk beds packed together. We each had our own room within an apartment. We could lock our bedroom doors and feel secure with our own key. No need to buy a locker. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest I have ever seen but definitely usable. Staff were OK.

  • It would have been nice to offer a more complete breakfast or offer glutten-free options.

  • This is easily the best hostel I have stayed at in Toronto. From the low cost to the included breakfast to the spectacular location, I will be coming here a lot more often!

  • The hostel is totally dirty (rooms and bathrooms), with a bathroom very small (especially the shower area). And it is really hot! Definately, it is not a good place to stay neither for one day.

  • I understand that's its a hostel / student halls accomodation how ever the rooms are not very clean. Security it good but not for bag storage which is un supervised in the basement. Breakfast is very good as its from a cafe. Also wifi is only avaiable in the cafe and on 22nd floor which doesn't alsways work. The view from the balcony's are amazing!

  • I think that value for money was very bad and the cleanliness worst... We found a mouse in our room. It was very nasty and disgusting.

  • It was 90 degrees and there was no air conditioning. It was so hot I couldn't breathe and night time was no better. A nice Irish student gave me a small fan, but I still had to leave early.

  • I felt uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms, the kitchen was very dirty and not cleaned, it was very hot in the room and had no fan or air conditioning system. The rest was good

  • Top location, bottom comfort. but for a night or two it's fine. Bathrooms are not clean and very small. The room looks more like a prison cell. However if you're not too spoiled it's really not that horrible. It is just a few block away from the gay village and town centre.

  • The place was so clean and very beautiful space. Fourth and fifth terrace was so great. But some staff was unkind. And the most important thing was....too~~~ hot to sleep at night time. It was my terrible night to sleep there. But breakfast service was so good.

  • This hostel was the best of the 3 hostels in which I have stayed thus far in Toronto. The central proximity at the heart of Toronto's commercial district, short 4 block walk to the subway lines, Ryerson University and the resources associated with it and to rental bicycles one and a half blocks away at the Conservatory all contributed to a pleasant stay. I appreciated the hostel's proximity to a full service grocery store and the presence of a kitchen too, although, the kitchens aren't stocked.

  • Place nice. Room rather small and, unfortunately, no air conditioning, but it was not bad. Breakfast is good, friendly service. Summer hotel in good location - generally recommend it!

  • No air or fan in room, carpet y doors were in great need of repair (slamming noise of doors y carpets of the 13th floor were torn and could cause great liability if trip & fall would occur)...
