good central location and not too noisy at night though we were there on a sunday/monday nights. kitchen is too small with only 2 hobs for a very large hostel so it gets very packed and there is no room for food storage either!! but the hostel is clean and the rooms were comfortable.. the deck terrace was lovely.

Lovely, helpful staff. Ideal location. Despite the cold weather, rooms were very well heated. We had a great night drinking with other guests in the kitchen and patio. Lots of character and great price! Would definitely come again.

Nice place to stay if you've first arrived in Christchurch. Bed's not the greatest in the world but the kitchen/laundry/lounge/location make up for it.

Good location and nice, clean hostel but could have done with more storage space in the kitchen and the street was very noisy at night.
Very social, excellent location but incredibly noisy, from both the street and inside the hostel. On my arrival the staff member was so confused by the fact that I'd changed my booking via email she apparently couldn't deduct my booking fee so I ended up paying more than I should have. Not the most amicable. Great showers though.

A good place top stay in ChCh, staff aren't the friendliest in the world but are pretty informative. Nice new showers on 1st floor, cheap but good laundry and overall a pretty good place to stay.

bit tired but they're doing renovations. noisy club opposite fri/sat. no complaints though. very welcoming
About 5 min walk to city center & 8 min walk to the market. This place wasn't bad, but it was just ok. The bathroom within the room isn't the greatest idea, since you can hear people as they use it. There are sinks in the room as well which I found a bit weird. There are showers and toilets elsewhere on the floor as well but I never really used them. I stayed at Base Christchurch and liked that hostel a lot more. It is also directly in the center of town, right by the cathedral.
