I was in this hotel for one week. I think it is very good hotel. You can find many smile faces in it. They are alwayes willing to help you with writing to you the name of the places with chines or to show you were you shall go. The hotel place is good. You can take the bus nu 60 direct to the walking street or you can take the subway wich is about 80 m from the hotel to the silk market. There is a lack and around the lake many many bars. The lack is one bus stop from the hotel.

This hotel is very cheap and the staff is very well. This for sure is a very good point. Moreover the hotel is 2min walk of the metro, and not far away Houhai : i think this is a plus. However the bathroom (of the room 23 at less) smell very bad .... you must close your nose when you take a shower.... except this this hotel is quite well, the place look like the depth of china (cf=see : hutong) and i repeat very near railway. VERY CHEAP

thought we were in the wrong hostel! as looks nothing like the pictures, it would seem the pictures show an artist's impression of what the hostel could look like, but its pretty run down and our room was very dirty, had to ask for towels toilet paper etc. and didn't get any breakfast. all very missleading!!!

In my opinion Robert is the best person in New Harbour Inn staff. He was very helpfull for me. Rest of staff were very friendly too. Thank you very much. Robert Cymborski

It seems the hostel has just opened/changed owner, so things might change. So far the staff does not know what is WiFi (though I can see it exists with my laptop - secured), breakfast is uneatable (instant coffee and sweat breads from plastic, when for a couple of yuan you can get excellent pancakes outside), they don't even know there exists a bus to the airport. The room where we stayed for 6 days was not cleaned. The staff is very unexperienced, and not especially friendly (or too stressed). All such details aside, it's not too bad, even a bit cosy, and very close to the subway.
