There is a dog next door who barks early in the morning. This is very annoying. Even with earplugs and a pillow on my head I could hear it and it woke me up. Also, right now there is a ton of street construction so this location, which is usually good, is not so great at the moment. That will continue for two years. DUANE, from USA ~ 5th Nov 2009

We had a child and were given a 3-bd room tho we had only booked a double-bd rm for the same price. There was no hot shower, not sure if it was incidental. An electrical heater was provided, felt bit unsafe. had lunch in the open air annex, very nice view. New wing much much nicer, worth a higher price. dorothy, from China ~ 2nd Nov 2009

You get what you pay for. Single room was without window, but the price was very low compared to other hostels. Nice guests (many young people and some old travelers like me), relaxed atmosphere and very nice staff. Edgar, from Germany ~ 19th Oct 2009

Hostel looks cozy, bizarre the entrance through a fruit shop in front of the Damascus Gate. Nice common area to meet people and use free internet (2 pc available). Free hot drinks. Kind of kitchen also available. Room was dirty, quite small for two and VERY VERY STINKY because of the shower drain... No breakfast. One of the cheapest accomodation in all Jerusalem. The room we stayed in was part of the Palm Hotel, at least that's what the hostel manager said. It was tiny and it was hard to turn around in the bathroom. The tap was leaking so that the floor in the bathroom was partly wet all the time and some water even got to the room- but the room was 32€ for two, so I think it was all right. Israel doesn't seem to be a country for really cheap accomodations. They had free internet and tea and coffee and air conditioning and if you found the staff they w Kristina, from Germany ~ 5th Oct 2009

Two of my friends and I stayed at this hostel and it was well worth my money. The staff there were great, if you need any kind of help they are willing and very kind in their manner. They have wifi, free tea and coffee, and if you need toilet paper of new bedding all you have to do is ask. For 20 dollars a night I couldn't ask for more. Kelli, from USA ~ 5th Oct 2009
