there were coachroaches in room 2003. though they are not big, i've noticed that there were quite a number of them, esp in the pillows and the blankets.... ps improve on the cleanliness!

For 1.27 GBP a night this place is pretty damn good!

I stayed for a week. Most of the staff spoke very little English; those who did speak it were hardly ever around. The mattresses were extremely hard. There was a bar right below many of the rooms that was quite noisy until late into the night. There was only one sink per 3 showers and 6 toilets. A lot of the food was somewhat marginal and a bit over-priced, although breakfast was good. The individual reading lamps in the dorms were bright enough to light up the entire room, which defeated the purpose. The internet access costs one baht per minutes and could be rather slow. The 'secure' storage room was hardly ever locked.

12 bed dorms aren't airconditioned, so were very hot and stuffy even in their cool season.

This place was okay. The staff were decent and it was clean enough. My only issue was the smell. Not only did my room smell a bit funky, but something around the terrace reeked. As I didn't use the terrace, but only walked through it to get to the service desk, and couldn't really notice the smell in my room after the first night, I'd probably stay here again.

I stayed in the 12 bed dorm. beds were very hard. people didn't lock the room door after them. nice courtyard setting. reception and restaurant very clean, dorms not so, but at 2 euro a night i guess you get what you pay for.

Great location to be close enough to the action, but not in a super touristy area. Only 60 baht to go to Khao San Road; right next to the ferry pier 1. There is always someone hanging around to chat with, so meeting people is easy. Restaurant is really good. The only bad thing is that there's bed bugs!!!! If they fix that problem, I would come back.

Without a doubt the worst bed I had in all of SE Asia, but that's my only real complaint. The rest of the property is very nice and communal, with great location for old and new Bangkok. And the panang curry was killer, almost worth a stay in itself.
