It is quite far away from the town centre compared to most other homestays and it is quite noisy in the morning (around 6am). But is is the most beautiful place I have stayed and everyone is really friendly and helpful. They didn't have a room for us when we first arrived even though we had booked (and it was 3.20am) but they got out of bed to find us a place to stay which was nice.

Nick's is located centrally in Ubud. It's a little off the road and all the cottages are surrounded by beautiful gardens. The staff is very friendly and eager to help you set up day trips around Bali, and whenever you wake up they have tea ready and breakfast served outside your door. If you're not prepared for an Indonesian bathroom Nick's may be a bit of a shock, but it's nothing abnormal. Also, prepare to wake up early to the roosters and preparation noises of the family. Overall, a very nice place to stay for someone on a budget!

arrgh. I dont like it. The place is just so.... probbaly ideal for those seeking culture experience. The place itself is a Balinese setting. with dogs running about and fighting on the streets. location is great. soveniers shopping is easy. and cheap. monkey forest is a walk away. but urrgh. i cant even find halal food here!

A great place to stay, the staff is really helpful and there's a beautiful,shady garden. the rooms are great value for you money. it's only a little bit noisy because there are ceremonys in the tample next door until after midnight and the parrots and roosters wake you up early in the morning. but i didn't mind, because there are better things to do than sleeping in ubud ;-)
Nice location, cool layout, helpful staff, hot showers. The many birds in cages in the courtyard wake up at about 5am though...

You will be surprised at how nice the accomodations areif you are a backpacker, or on a budget. They really care about you also. The Bungalows are in a great setting and there are only 6 so it's neat and tidy. I Love this place and most people who had other accomodations planned, once they arrived have all come back.
very nice owners. always accomodated me whenever possible. it was very safe and i always felt at home. room could have used some a/c but besides that it was a great experience. location ok, but not great. it is a 45-1hr drive from the airport. a very quiet location
