good location but not worth what they charge for the rooms. Front doors locked mid-afternoon when we wanted to check in and had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come and open it.

A place for people who like quiet places. That was good.

It's a quite hostel which suited us as we needed a rest for a couple of days. I think it's a bit expensive for what it is and it's quite small. We did have a fan in the room though which kept it nice and cool

A very quaint and quiet place. close to city but not too close to noise.

Difficulty in accessing staff was a bit problematic. Booking through hostel world gives you the impression that the Lodge takes credit cards. I think it should be made quite clear on the booking website that you have to pay the balance in cash.

This is the worst hostel we have stayed in and we have been traveling for 8 months. There was nobody in attendance when we arrived midday on a Sunday. We called them and somebody came over and had a go at us for disturbing their Sunday. They had no record of our booking. They did offer us the same room for 30 bucks more. We eventually agreed to find an internet cafe and print out the booking confirmation with the price on and call back. When I called back the lady I spoke to was extremely hostile. She said she no longer had the room, no longer took single night bookings, how dare I suggest such a low price and that she would put me in a magazine. We eventually got a room but it was without the bathroom we booked. The room was old and smelt funny and I think I got some bites from bed bugs. The hostel does not have many facilities either. In our opinion these people aren't suited to running a hostel.

Good value for money. Average size double room with ensuite. The only problem was that the room was very hot with only an ancient ceiling fan!!

It's more like a guest house than a hostel, but it is very nice and great for a quiet night within walking distance of the city.

I have passed a good moments in the North Lodge, that is the first time I go in a Lodge Accomodation but that was a good surprise.
