Very cosy hostel with lovely surroundings. Very chilled out and relaxing. If given the choice maybe choose a room outside the house as it was quite noisy being in the celtic room - next to the bathroom. The staff were very attentive.

North-South is a home away from home - you can lounge on the shady porch looking out on a lush garden. Short walk to all amenities and shopping. Safe and secure. The staff are absolutely amazing - friendly, helpful, always a smile and a warm handshake. They make you feel that North-South is your home and you do.

Room was not in accordance with original booking description (no private bathroom). Information regarding pick-up at Joburg airport were not optimal nor consistent. What we thought was arranged for pick-up was actually not. More reliable info and arrangements would have been appreciated.

Ive had a great time at this hostel, the staff are friendly, helpful and alot of fun, it is in a good location, easy reach of everything i needed. I intend to stay here again when i am passing through

North South Backpackers was a fantastic place to stay! Great location, wonderful grounds and fun, attentive, care above and beyond what is ecpected was given to us! Highly recommended. Free breakfast, beautiful place, fun and hospitable people - what more can you want?!
