I have stayed in three other hostels, and this was by far the best. The name "Oasis" seriously describes this place. The family who runs the place is so wonderful and helpful - they even provide breakfast each morning, complete with eggs, juice, coffee, and toast. They make you feel like you are one of the family and the environment is really relaxed. I would recommend anyone travelling through to stay here. Owner family lives on the first floor in this new villa, sparkling clean. Great breakfast omelette, cereal, milk, coffee, orange juice. No air conditioner though, but it gets quite coole during winter nights, not so much during summer I guess. The big minus is location its just a 5mins drive from downtown, but you cant safely walk this distance, so you have to rely on bus service which runs till 11 pm only or taxi. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip. It was truly an Oasis from the noisy streets, crazy buses, and busy beaches of Puerto Vallarta. We were some of the older guests, but is excellent for any age traveler to meet others and have fun!!
