A really sweet hostel, i enjoyed my stay here and the people both staff ang guests were friendly..!takelots of layers as my room tended to be pretty cold!!

Did not spent much time in the hostel but I stay there five years ago and had to admit that improved a lot is more clean and tidy than before although still a bit noisy but did not care as I was there for party as well so if you are looking for a good night sleep you may not get it.

One of best hostels I've ever stayed at.Staff are greatest:helpful,fun+always around if you've any questions.Common room by far best room in house-free 24h internet,free pool table,free tv+films to choose from.Getting the idea?+great little outdoor cinema,jukebox+plenty of benches.Rooms are cosy+indian restaurant downstairs-unreal food.You'd be mad not to come here!

Looking for a place to meet people? look no further. The hostel really feels like a home (and even has a mum!). The common area is big and open. It's a bit cramped in the rooms cause a lot of the people are long term, so if you plan on staying in your room a lot this hostel is not for you. Overall an awesome place! I would recommend the Old Fire Station to others looking to stay in Fremantle.

Quite possibly the dirtiest hostel I've ever stayed in. The communal areas weren't too bad, but the dorms were a disgrace. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Could be due to long term residents who treated the dorms like their own apartments and didn't clean up after themselves. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Location and staff was very good, but the security was bad for me. Locker was so small for my bag to use and it was far from the room. And the room door can't close by itself, so if you don't close correctly it will be opened 24hr!!
Its a good place to stay. its about 500m down the road from the train station in fremantel. the rooms all have a TV and a fridge which is more than handy. the staff is friendly. a lot of the people staying here have been here for ages giving the place a sort of family - atmosphere. to start of with it can be a bit hard to fiddle your way into the group but if you are planning to stay a bit longer there should be no prob. the kitchen is clean and fully equipped with anything one might need there are also lockers available for your food and some extra fridges. The internet is free - yay - but the computers arent the fasters or newest around... however its FREE and more then good enough to check your e-mails. there are an endless amount of DVDs and Videos one can borrow also all free. they have a big TV in the common room as well as another little "cinema" downstairs. all in all a decent place to stay.

We had a room out the back and didn't get much sleep as the music was blaring until well after 2 in the morning. Not enough showers and toilets out the back. Wouldn't stay there again
