The place has a good atmosphere, it's a old shophouse. It draws a chilled crowd, and the toilet and showers are very clean. Staff was friendly and smiling, we enjoyed our stay there. I thought that 40 RMS was a lttle steep even for an aircon box with no windows.Staff were friendly and helpfull though.Brekfast was toast and various jams hardly inspiring but ok if you cannot be bothered to walk the 50 meters or so to experience real Malaysian food.I was glad that I could bopok on ine as I flew directly from UK via KL,in one go . paul, from England ~ 3rd Feb 2012

Very nice hostel: good location, nicely decorated rooms (we stayed a double bed private ensuite), clean (all the bathrooms seemed to be quite new), good beds, helpful staff and simple but good breakfeast. Totally recommend it! Pilvi, from Finland ~ 19th Jan 2012

I got an immediate good feeling from the moment I walked into this hostel.It's so clean and comfortable.The location is excellent and the staff is ever so helpful.I think that it's incredibly safe.There are lockers in the room, but you need your own lock.It's right down the road from some great street vendors, two doors down from a bar (but it's still quite at night), and across the road from a really cool art gallery. The place is clean and location is good, all main sightseeing places are in walkable distance. You can also easy to exchange money from the street nearby. Komtar(which is a bus station can go most places in pinang) is also in walkable distance (in 10 mins) if you know the right direction. Staff is basically nice, but sometimes talkative and sometime serious. I tried to ask questions about sightseeing issue, seems they are no so familiar and not helpful enough.
