Lacks some character, bathrooms are really dirty.Not very personal. Little things let it down like $5 dollar per person fee for storing your bag the day you leave? In 3 years of travelling thats the first time a hotel/hostel has had a fee when you have stayed there.

Truthfully i dont mind the poor cleanliness, but am saying as it is. There were some things i was oblivious about, like lack of towels. and lockers not having locks (and some lockers being unusable!) But i would stay here again due to its location. And if you want to take the train across Perth, i would highly recommend this place.

Though the website advertised free continental breakfast, we were terribly shocked to find out that no milk was provided for breakfast, though there were cornflakes. We were forced to buy the milk over the counter. The breakfast provided is a far cry from the youth hostels in Europe. (though the hotel rates are comparable) The television set is faulty and received poor signals. We could not enjoy a single programme with the poor reception. The toilets need to be refurnished with fresh and clean wall colours and sinks. They are also not well maintained. One of the staff even gave a couple the keys to my room by mistake. Our sleep was interrupted at 2am. We informed the staff about the matter but apparently, no action was taken and there was no apology given to us. Though 'no alcohol' signs were placed all over the hostel, a drunk entered the hostel and made a din just next door to our room where he resided for the entire night. This was a very disappointing and traumatic experience no one wishes to experience. I would not recommend this hostel to anybody and would strongly discourage anyone who wishes to stay there.

I stayed at this hostel app. 1yr ago. It is still as poor as then. I'm sure most people expect to be treated with respect and listened to when making comments about the lack of security. There are many signs regarding security but the public certainly do not take any notice of them and they are not enforced by the staff.

The kitchen was dirty, the room was dirty and the toilets were dirty. Had booked three nights but left after the first.

Bedbugs, filthy kitchen and lack of tovels for drying after one has done the dishes. Also lack of knives for eating in the kitchen.
After travelling New Zealand and Oz this is the dirtiest hostel we have stayed in. Staffs understanding of english was very bad. We booked on the interent and although I got a confirmation staff could still not find our booking. I was very unhappy and will not recommend this hostel to anyone. Hostle was filthy.
