THIS IS A GREAT HOSTEL, AWAY FROM THE NOISE OF THE TOWN. THE STAFF IS NICE AND IT IS AFFORDABLE.

REally enjoyed our stay. Could do with better pillows, bigger toilet rolls and an improved hot water system. Probably need more help in kitchen, but these comments shouldn't be considered criticsms, but suggestions. They run very reasonable trips, arereally nice and the charachter of the place is fantastic. We thought it had a swimming pool -didn't find it! We hope to revisit Lijiang and will certainly look to return

The staff was very helpful, but we still had several problems arranging for a tour to Tiger Leaping Gorge. It was a bit tricky to find, but their map and other locals were helpful. While it was not in the central part of Lijiang, it was great because it was very quiet at night.

Great guesthouse, clean and spacious rooms. Location not that great a bit far from the action. But nice and quiet, unless a chinese tour group is staying there... The staff was nice they reserved a room for us when we return from TLG and allowed us to leave our luggage there.

We were pretty dissapointed with this hostel. On-line it shows pictures of the rooms that are very nice, but once there these rooms are at a much higher price. The rooms have very bad walls so you can hear EVERYTHING in the neighboring rooms as well as outside in the courtyard, which tends to be VERY noisy at nighttime. It also caters to Chinese tourists and so the staff (except one person who was very helpful) doesn't speak any english. Wouldn't reccomend for westerners!

Really nice place to stay, right in the old town but away from the madness so nice and quiet. Room was lovely and big, bed SOOO warm and comfy. Aircon and hot enough water. People were lovely too.

Hostel is located in a very quiet part in Lijiang, 10min walk from the main square. They do nice food and the court yard is beautiful. We loved our stay here.

First we stayed at the dorm room, which had no key and no lockers and was very cold at nights. When one of us got sick from some bad chinese food we were offered a better room and stayed at a twin room, which was much better. if you have a choice you want to stay in a twin or double room!! the owner of the guesthouse was very nice and helpful and spoke good enlish. Location is great, close to everything.

This hotel was excellent. Great location and excellent friendly owners. They helped us out a lot with maps and directions and got us our onward bus tickets for free. We also had meals at the hotel, got our laundry done and used the wifi and everything was great. Good heating too which is important at thsi time of year.
