Old Town Hostel in Veliko Tarnovo, Poland

The two best things about this hostel were the staff, who was one super friendly guy, who let us change rooms with no problems, and the location! It was right in the tiny old town near the top closer to the train station so easily walkable. There was no signe out front so be sure to no the address and mark it on your map! Good kitchen area with stuff u could have for free - eggs, bread and tost, hot dogs, and other stuff. And it is the smallest hostel in Krakow, so very personable. couldn't get a better location. The only downside is there is a tavern right underneath...so it can get pretty noisy late at night. The mattresses are thin and soft. Bedding is also of poor quality. James, from Canada ~ 20th Sep 2011

What makes a hostel special is the staff, and I cannot speak highly enough of Tomasz who did all he could to make guests welcome. Apart from the stunning location within a couple of minutes walk from the main square, it was the small touches that made a diffence. Thomasz was on hand at all hours to deal with requests, the breakfasts were generous and little nibbles were provided during the day. I truly felt at home. I've arrived in the middle of the night and the neighbour opened the hostel for me... I had the entire place to myself. In the morning the guy just gave the keys of the entire hostel. True home away from home Miguel, from Portugal ~ 27th Jul 2011
