The Gogarty couldn't have been better. The staff was incredibly fun, informative and welcoming. Their front desk staff were the nicest hostel employees I have ever met. Plus, being in the very middle of the Temple Bar neighborhood made for a very fun weekend. Definitely recommend staying here. I know I will on my next trip to Dublin! Edward, from USA ~ 3rd Jul 2011

Having made a prior phone call to Gogartys I was expeciting my booking to be 2 x 4 bedded rooms with 3 of our party of 6 in each room (and paying the excess of 1 per room) with the exception of 30-5-11 when it would be 4 in one room. Instead our accommodation was 1 x 4 bedded room and 1 shared room with STRANGERS.As we are in our 60's, and a couple, we were dumfounded to have to share with 2 v.young guys. It was MOST embarassing for me. The reception staff just kept repeating this was the only a Irene, from Scotland ~ 1st Jun 2011

Solo female backpacker. Went in April 2011. The girl from Slovenia at reception (forgot her name!) was super nice, very helpful and polite.Great clean room, comfy mattresses, quick (but a bit expensive) laundry service, ideal location, right in the middle of Temple Bar (so if you go drinking in a pub around, it's easier and quicker to get home after!). The floor in my room always felt a bit sticky, the only secruity lockers would only fit things like phone, passport etc. Would be good to lock up bags. This place is in an excellent location and the pub attached has great trad music. If you are there to party and sleep sometimes, great place to be, central location, bout 15min walk to Guinness Storehouse Rhiann, from Australia ~ 22nd Mar 2011
