The place was pretty run down. Huge green, dirty fish tank out front and our room really needed a paint job. The room could be really quant and cute if it was fixed up properly. The room was very noisy being street side so it made it hard to sleep at night. The staff were really nice, hooking up internet for us and even giving us a ride to the airport because it was raining.

Nice place to stay if you are planing to visit Izu Peninsula. Easy access to many sight-seeing points. Price is very resonable. Position of the hotel is wonderful. You can admire the ocean from your window. Owners are nice and friendly. They will really make you feel like home. Highly recommend to try the food offered here.

A very disappointing hotel. The pictures shown on the website do not accurately reflect the hotel - the rooms have been divided in two. The location is poor - a dual carriageway runsalongside the hotel and we have the video evidence to show that it seems as if there are no windows or walls to block out the sound. Althoughthe landlord and lady are kind and pleasant the whole building has an air of neglect.

Rather old and shabby, and quite noisy due to traffic from the nearby street. The place shakes and rattles from the wind. Scary! Onsens were closed when we went there, and only an old (and not-so-clean) shower was available--no towels provided. On the other hand, it is only about a five minute walk from the station, and right on the beach, so the location is great. There is a really big buddha and temple on the mountain nearby, but no way to get there without a car. Otherwise, not much to do in the area. Staff was nice. There weren't many guests when we went there, so we got a double room for the same (cheap) price.

This is a great place to stay at when you want to see life in a smaller town in Japan. The building is right on the beach. We stayed on the third floor in the room facing the ocean. The view was great, plus the calming sound of the waves, although traffic does start early. The tatami room is nice and very big (about 16 m2) for a Japanese room :) Onsen means that this hotel has a natural hot spring bath that you can take every evening. You only share the bath with your own party and it is amazing, relaxing and good for your body. The owners speak enough english and are very friendly. The building is quiet, we hardly ever saw anybody. Absolutely perfect place to relax, read books and the like. The train station is close and the train connection to Tokyo is good, plus to all neighboring towns for exploring. There's shopping, boat rides, water skiing, surfing, trekking, etc.
