  • The hostel itself was good. We had a dorm with three beds which was great. The staff was horrible, they took forever to acknowledge us when we came to check in. They were never willing to give us instructions to go places. You have to buzz the hostel to get in, but the security is horrible. They never check to see who is buzzing while letting them in, so there was always homeless people inside. Our room was just up to stairs so we didn't really feel safe. Not the best, I wouldn't recommend it.

  • The staff was very nice. The room (I stayed in a 4 women ensuite) is ok size, also the bathroom. Not sure how often they wash the blanket and pillow tho. The location is great! The common areas were great too even tho I didn't use them much. Great value for your money ;-) Thanks a lot for everything!

  • Even though i got wrong reservation, they helped me stay there. Also bed was not that bad, good for me anyway. I got the airport pick up which costed 13 bucks. Thanks to that I could get the flight at the right time. (Because there were many people at that time, in the morning at 5:30) You can make waffle for ur breakfirst either.

  • Stoic staff, small rooms but does exactly what it says on the tin. Location is frankly terrifying with a lot of casual drug abuse. That said, no visible danger to hostel-users, just scary to walk through.

  • It´s well located, near (enough) Metro and Bart Stations. Downtown San Francisco has a lot of homeless people and drug (crack?) addicted people, be careful when going outside especially at night. The hotel has a good security, only allowing people in by a buzzer. The WiFi is free and works fine in the rooms.

  • Great location, decent wifi, better-than-average breakfast. Staff isn't particularly friendly.

  • My experience was positive. I was only there for one night so my experience is obviously not extensive. Great location in downtown S.F. While the staff were not effusively warm & friendly, neither were they rude or surly & that's a balance I can live with. A simple, clean, inexpensive hostel in the heart of the city. It's all I ever ask for.

  • The hostel was somewhat easy to find and the staff helpful. Hostels looks his door so you need to use their doorbell, which is good. Let's you know they take safety seriously. The rooms were clean though I can't say the same about the windows. I also wished they had a small table/chair in the room but it's fine. All the cable cars/busses/trains were accessible within a few blocks. Breakfast was decent but not great (only served waffles/cereal).

  • I liked this place. It was clean and the 4 bed rooms were spacious. It was pretty quiet and nice, not a lot of people running around yelling in the hallways. I would absolutely recommend this place!

  • Definitely pay the extra dollar for a towel. The one provided is a bath mat. And the "continental" breakfast is no good.

  • The staff is really nice and friendly. But it is a shame the hostel does not provide lockers... and the showers are not washed more often.

  • The place is pretty impersonnal, the staff is okay but a bit directive. The rooms are okay.

  • The location and price are the strongest qualities. The room is comfortable (I got a couple room with private bathroom). Room was clean and with a good space for 2 with luggage. We saw 2 very small cockroach. In general our stay were very good.

  • This hostel was very cute and amazingly clean-or so I thought. I woke up the next morning to bed bugs in my bed, and the hotel staff tried every story to refuse me a refund. Eventually, I got it. But the staff knows very little english and makes it hard to communicate. They did eventually refund a day and half of two days stay, and offered me coins to clean my clothes from the bed bugs.

  • The hostel is not well maintained. The carpeting throughout was stained and spotted. The furniture was a mixed bag, some relatively new, others pieces old and tired, decidedly not matched. The four-bed dorm room was OK, there was hot water for a morning shower. The kitchen was small for the number of guests, but the waffle maker at breakfast was a nice touch. The juice, however, was sugar water. OK to sleep cheap, nothing more.
