  • I'm not sure if there was a kitchen here. The hostel is in a very touristy part of Istanbul with all the sights you will ever want to see but little nightlife apart from tourist bars. It is also more expensive than average (tourist pricing) and full of people trying to sell you a carpet. The staff were helpful overall. But bring a padlock if possible, the ones they lend at reception for the lockers are rather flimsy.

  • The staff all over, was great, very helpfull and nice, hard workers!! We, a family of 2 parents and 2 adult "children" had a 4-person dorm on the second floor, which was nice, clean and roomy, the beds were comfortable and it had airconditioning! Included breakfast was good, the roofterrace was wonderfull! The only thing which we did not like was the cleanlyness of the showers. Ther was mould between a lot of tiles, and the drains looked a bit dirty. The showers themselves were nice and warm.

  • Yucel is a legend! Great hostel. Awesome atmosphere. Food is great. And in a super vibrant location. It's so easy to get lost in Istanbul an it's proximity to Hagia Sophia and the sea meant I was never too far away from finding something familiar. Upstairs cafe has sea views and is a great way to start the day. Clean and easy this hostel is great. They even translate for you if you happen to need it.

  • Staff was excellent! We booked a tour through TripAdvisor and upon arrival the hostel had our confirmation waiting for us and they communicated when they would be picking us up the next morning. They offered airport shuttles for only 12 Lira. Our room was cold and they checked out heater and provided us with extra blankets. This hostel has a great location and was very easy to find. The staff gave us a lot of helpful information about the city, I would stay here again.

  • Very friendly place, with the pub just outside the reception, so we could have a great night and just go to our rooms. Free internet and great breakfast. Just the bathrooms are not so comfortable and it's hard to take a shower and get dressed as you need to take care of your things bt no place to hang them. But it's a 10 min walk to all main attractions of the Old City. Great place!
