i would not recommend this hostel! the staff does not really care about you. they are not really interested. it seems more like: stay here pay and leave in the morning. but the location is very central. with 10euro per night it is a bit overprized!

I booked 4 days here and didnt stay. Would be helpful if you could get inside the hostel. It's no good when theres nobody there at the reception (24 hr reception advertised), nobody answers the phone and their email doesnt work to cancel my reservation. Later I find out this isnt a one off incident but is happening regularly. I would suggest Hostelworld remove PBI from your web site as this lack of service is extremely unprofessional. Rating for PBI Hostel is 0%. Keep up the good work PBI.

A flier advertiding this hostel claimed it had a laundry service, beer, bulgarian food, hot water and was a good meeting place, and none of thee things were true. However, it was clean and the staff were helpful.

The hostel is located really right next to the old part, so that's great! Overall, I can definetly only recommend it!

This place is ok but the set up is a bit strange. There didnt seem to be staff members around all of the time.The location is great. Also, the directions given for the hostel are wrong, its a left instead of a right turn at the bridge... But its good if on budget...
No English speaking staff, which is fine, but they were quite rude to me. Staff frequently not in.

Usually you look forward to getting to the hostel - a friendly face after a long trip. Dont hold out for that here. Disappointing.
The hostel had no maps, no laundry service, no internet (despite advertising that it does) and the staf weren't very helpful at all. No advice about the areaor how to get around and no answers to any of our questions.

I didn't particularly like this hostel.There were a number of elements that led me to this conclusion. The first is that you have to ring on the doorbell outside and wait for the member of staff to come down and let you in. Not a particularly convenient system, especially if you plan on making a night of it. The staff were not the friendliest and there was no sense that people were looking after the hostel. plus the beds creaked something chronice. perhaps the only decent thing about the hostel was its central location. its really close to the roman ruins and the main attractions that plovdiv has to offer and for that reason and that reason alone i would recommend this hostel. if you are looking for friendly staff and a decent atmoshpere, perhaps mars would be more hospitable than this hostel.
