We arrived at night but were well received. The dorm was simple but tidy, just the beds, no closet. Just two snags, light switchs were outside the dorm and the stairs are dreadful if you're carrying a heavy suitcase. The trip to Glendalough and Kilkenny was fun, the driver/guide was very enjoyable. Paddy's Palace was an ok place to sleep, thats about it... Not much to do in ways of a common room or long term accomodation... Staff whilst helpful they were very busy and waiting to be served took some time... Melissa, from Australia ~ 22nd Jul 2011

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, but sometimes the bathrooms were not the cleanest. The shower is one temperature and you constantly have to push a button to keep it on. Breakfast is only toast and cereal. The airport shuttle is great. Lots of steps to get to your room! Laura, from USA ~ 28th Jul 2011

I've stayed at this hostel several times.The location is excellent and the free airport shuttle is a fantastic value.They have a computer with free internet access and you can go on several tours straight from the hostel. Kelly, from USA ~ 30th May 2011

The only reason to stay here is if you are doing tours through the Paddy Wagon tours, as they leave from the front door but this is not a good enough reason as there are other pick up points.The showers only had hot water, so you had to limit yourself to 30 second scoldings to hope you get yourself clean. No atmosphere, and everytime you want to get into the hostel you need to be buzzed in, with late night interrogations from the night staff. I would recommend staying elsewhere. The only good part about staying in Paddy's Palace was the free airport shuttle and then knowing where to get on the bus for the Paddywagon tour...otherwise, stay somewhere else nearby the Paddywagon tour office. Mandy, from USA ~ 11th Apr 2011
