We had a private double that was relatively quiet (although it was located at the top of the entrance, so we heard people going in and out). The staff spoke great English and were extremely helpful in guiding us about excursions. I can see how the rooms located off of the common room would be loud, especially on a weekend, but ours was great. The bathrooms were small, but seemed clean and breakfast was above average. I´d recommend this place based on its location alone.

If youre NOT looking for comfort, cleanliness or sleep then this is the hostel for you!! Bathrooms are gross, and the place is very very noisy, especially in the twinroom private bedrooms, cannot sleep in them. Also the place could definitely use some maintenance and definitely more cleaning. But the location is good and the staff are ok, a bit disorganised, but cool. Anyways would NOT recommend it to anyone or go back again. :c((

Awesome hostel! Great area, great staff and a really good crowd of people. loved staying here, definitely recommend it! Every saturday there is a great bbq (asado) which is really social and everyone goes out afterwards - good way to meet people.

right next to the best plaza for bars in BsAs, and cool staff, make sure you get the empanadas from down the street, cause those are bad ass

The upstairs common area is very cute. The bathrooms are by far the most disgusting thing, I have seen in a long time. There was feces on the toilet seats.

nice location, staff spoke little english and had no clue about ferries or busses. i had my ipod shuffle stolen and received little help. the saturday meal is fun but is not like how it is described. the toilets and showers need serious upgrade but hot water is available.

Bathrooms are not cleaned properly and the dorm rooms downstairs are extremely noisy as they back onto the main entrance corridor where people come and go all day and chat loudly. There is also very little natural light in the rooms and the lights are very dim. It's not so much fun hunting around for your stuff in the dark while trying not to disturb your roomies. People are cool though and most of the staff are really helpful.

Palermo House is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The staff are absolutely amazing, the location is perfect and the Saturday night asado is the best in argentina so far. The Hostel seems to attract nice people and whether you want to get wasted or talk about world peace or politics until sunrise you will meet someone there to do it with, just dont stay there if you are trying to leave BA, it will make it much harder.
