Nice, cozy, simple guest house close to the river with a massage studio attached and run by a very helpful and easy-going couple. Day-trips can be booked here, too. Definately on my list when I'll be back in Chiang Mai - despite or maybe because of its location outside of the busy town center. Alexandra, from Germany ~ 26th Oct 2009

the staff was amazing and service was really good. It's not the most night life filled area of town--which is a downer for some looking for a huge bar scene--but i appreciated the fact that the area wasn't blasting bob marley tunes at 2 AM. Yihong, from USA ~ 20th Aug 2009

This was truly a wonderful experience, it was exactly what I was looking for in Chiang Mai. Being across the river is WONDERFUL! There are much nicer restaurants, pubs, etc. steps outside of the front door (that sit over the river and face the city). The walk is 8-10 minutes, to cross the river, and the best market is directly across the bridge! Don't forget to book a Thai Herbal Massage at their spa, unreal experience! I felt like I was part of their family the minute I walked in. I spoke to david, from USA ~ 20th Jun 2009

This is a family run guesthouse of Super strict & unflexible reception time. Pls be alert before booking. Others might be good, remain to be discovered. Xiaomei, from China ~ 27th May 2009

Wonderful, small Hostel, with excellent staff. Very helpful with everything, sometimes you feel here like that the world is circling only around you. Best place to stay in Chiang Mai. Oliver, from Germany ~ 15th May 2009

This place was spot on! Slightly out of town so nice and quiet but still within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Very good value for money - simple but effective - perfect for every traveller's needs. Simon, from England ~ 25th Mar 2009

Parami is a lovely building with pretty and clean rooms with fantastic, friendly, helpful and informative staff. It's a bit of a walk to the Old City but very close to the river and some very good restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed our stay here and extended our booked time so we could stick around for longer. Katherine, from England ~ 29th Mar 2009

Parami is so overrated by the other guests. The guest house and premises do not meet the basic cleaning and hygiene, apart from the bathroom was clean. The wooden floors and staircase look like they have not been scrubbed for years - the dirt were imbedded; the walls were paper thin and had gaps. In the outside breakfast area, the table was very dirty, a disgusting, worn out and dirty hammock was hanging there and pillows were gray instead of white. There were many cats by the breakfast area Read Owner Comments Gracita, from Philippines ~ 10th Feb 2009
