Nice, cozy, simple guest house close to the river with a massage studio attached and run by a very helpful and easy-going couple. Day-trips can be booked here, too. This was truly a wonderful experience, it was exactly what I was looking for in Chiang Mai. Being across the river is WONDERFUL! There are much nicer restaurants, pubs, etc. steps outside of the front door (that sit over the river and face the city). The walk is 8-10 minutes, to cross the river, and the best market is directly across the bridge! Don't forget to book a Thai Herbal Massage at their spa, unreal experience! Parami is a lovely building with pretty and clean rooms with fantastic, friendly, helpful and informative staff. It's a bit of a walk to the Old City but very close to the river and some very good restaurants and bars. Parami is so overrated by the other guests. The guest house and premises do not meet the basic cleaning and hygiene, apart from the bathroom was clean. The wooden floors and staircase look like they have not been scrubbed for years - the dirt were imbedded; the walls were paper thin and had gaps. In the outside breakfast area, the table was very dirty, a disgusting, worn out and dirty hammock was hanging there and pillows were gray instead of white. There were many cats by the breakfast area
We are just wondering how so many people they gave us a good ratings can be wrong (not only on this internet platform) if our place is so dirty and unclean as you describe in your commend. Or they are dirty pigs in your eyes? We don�t think so. We are wondering as well how you can stay full 3 days on a so disgusting and dirty place? Honestly, I would change an accommodation as you describe immediately and would not spend even one night. If they were a problem with the room or bed sheets, why you did not complain at the reception? You also had the right to give us the order that we have to clean the room daily or change the bed sheets as written in our house rules (sticks on the door in every room). What you expect more? As the passive owner (amazed to know that you know what I�m doing the whole day): For example you showed me the print out of the festival program (sorry! we not get supported with flyers or brochures from the festival organizer) and I send you to the place you asking for. As well when you did the check in, my staff gave you a map from Chiang Mai and shown you all the interesting places and explained you how to get there. So what can we do more you if you not asking for? On the end: For people they don�t like pet animals, �PLEASE� don�t make a booking because we have 4 cats and sorry they are everywhere around.
