“ A wet-blanket on your vacation;Please give it a WIDE BERTH. It is fairly easy to find Chungking Mansions. But location is NOT everything you are looking for. The receptionist at Paris hostel threatened me with my credit card numbers I used on hostel.com when I asked them to cancel my booking. I think any of the hostels pictures here need to be changed for real. The room I almost stayed didn't look half as good, looked more like a prison cell. It was my nightmare on the first day in HK. ”

“ This place is also called Germany hostel as well as some other names. The guy at the reception was was an awful employe. I had booked 2 days but ended up only needing 1 day so I said I would only need one day not two. He said nothing and then tried to charge me for two days. When I objected he gave me a huge attitude and said it was my own mistake and I had to argue with him until he finally conceded, all the while he was scratching his crotch. Left me with a very bad impression of the place. ”

“ The owner's grasp on english is tentative, but they seemed nice enough. The facilities were quite functional, although they weren't great to look at. The building itself is a little sketchy. Quite possibly there are better deals out there for the money, but this worked perfectly fine. ”
