I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! In fact, we moved out The room is VERY small, you have to wait 10 minutes for the elevator every time and the reception (ground floor) of the building is full of dodgy people... Stay away. Sverre, from Norway ~ 24th Nov 2011

This is really not bad hostel,with a pretty good (cheap) price, and perfect location in the center of Kowloon, just front of Tsim Tsha Sui station. Staff was very kindly during our trip, every problem were solved in 5 minutes, changin' room, everything. Don't think room will be big for this price, but still not bad. Internet (wi-fi) and hot shower, fridge even include. Staff also change towels every day. Really good budget hostel. Maxim, from Russia ~ 10th Oct 2011

I liked the hostel itself however as a single girl I did not find Chungking Mansion to be very nice. This place worked for me. This is by no means a bad review.First off don't expect too much from here.The prices as cheap as they come you get what you pay for.Ignore the pictures the rooms are not like that.The average room is 8 by 10 or so with a wall a/c(w remote),16 inch tv,(2 english channels)ceiling fan, and mini fridge.The bed uses the whole room and was soft enough to pass out on after walking around all day.The toilet and shower were clean but tiny in the same 5by5 closet.100 HKG key dep Chad, from USA ~ 29th Jun 2011

The room was really small, but very tidy and almost brand new. The only problem with the hostel and many others in the same building is creepy ground floor of the building. We were sent to "Hollywood Guest House" one floor down instead of given a room in the "Park Guest House" that we booked.I personally feel insecured with the environment of Chungking Mansion as I was traveling with another female friend.I would rather pay a little extra to stay in a better hotel next time. The location was good access-wise...however it seemed like a really sketchy area at first.After staying for a couple of days though we got used to it I never really felt threatened, just overwhelmed.People were just trying to sell things everywhere.Overall, rooms were really small but they were clean and tidy and the owner was really nice!
