- “ The room smelled weird, probably because of one of the other people, but it smelled weird for a while. And it was way too hot in the room, especially if you slept on the top bunk. It was steamy in there, and not for the reasons I'd like them to be ”

- “ The location is not bad at all. It's located within the Greek Town whcih is pretty easy to find out. It's only a route of bus 126 to get close to the hostel. But it's straightfowardly to direct you to CTA subway. Folks, remeber to buy a day or 5 day pass, it will save you a huge amount of money on transportation. The pass will let you get on both CTA buses and CTA subways. It's really convenient and cheap. All in all, services in the hostel is pretty good. ”

- “ We were a little surprised at the total for one night in a private room, with the taxes, but the young man at the desk asked if we had any card that would enable him to give a us a discount. Ah-ha! We got out an AARP card and were happpier with our total. Good job! ”

- “ the hostel was located adjacent to a restaurant that turned into a night club on saturday night. It was very loud and noisy in the bedroom and one of the guests in our room smelled. I would not recommend this hostel to future guests. ”

- “ The hostel has a good location (as you know that Chicago is a small city) but the staffs aren't kind at all. Especially, the woman who is in reception at night was very unkind to people. ”

- “ The clenest hostel I booked so far. We didn't have a chance to walk around too much (only stayed 1 night) but the neighborhood looked very lively with restaurants and bars, we did feel safe at all time when walking back from CHicago downtown to the hostel. ”

- “ Worst Hostel that I have ever seen.. ”

- “ I walked past this place 2 times before I found it. It is between two halves of the same restaurant by the same name as the Hostel. So if you find the restaurant look for a small door on the outside between both halves. Good over all place the bath room(s) are kind of split apart and it takes 3 different rooms to do the job of one. That is the only real downside. The Free cereal in the morning is always a plus. ”

- “ I enjoyed my stay very much, and the staff was really friendly, except for the Greek guy who supervised the breakfast. I was staying at the Getaway Hostel before, and I had to move to a new one since they ran out of room, but I liked the Parthenon Hostel much, much better. I would recommend it to others visiting Chicago. ”

- “ Pretty long walk from most of the sights downtown, but definitely do-able. Better to get a public transport card, though. Otherwise, great hostel. And nice breakfast included! ”

- “ Great location... greek town is a fun area to have drinks and hang around also very close to everything... about 4 blocks from the loop. the only thing I think they can improve is the common areas... kitchen is tinny... and common room very average... but overall is a good value hostel... :-) ”
