  • If you are ever going to Amsterdam and looking for somewhere cheap, with good friendly staff, with a neat and clean cabin (all cabins and on the smaller side but the beds are bigger than they look), good central location and a nice chilled vibe then this is the place to be!!!!! Its also got a handy Nemo landmark to get you home easily on the nights where your memory may not be so great :) BOOK HERE NOW ITS GREAT!!!!

  • The property is centrally located, very close to the main train station. The lounge is equipped with a good size and lots of tables. But the rooms are much too small. The top of the bunk bed is so small that between the tip of the nose and the ceiling hardly less than 5 cm space. Sleeping here is almost impossible. There are two showers. Unfortunately it worked only one. For 15 Rooms! There is also no vestibule or similar, to get changed. Therefore, the clothes in the shower get wet. Although the staf

  • Very small living space. 8 feet by 4 feet at max. no room to put your belongings, was tiny. good location but was difficult to find. Also kind of cold at night. and you need the passcode to get on the ship, which they don´t tell you about.

  • Location is good, staff is friendly, but the rooms are incredibly small. There is no place to turn around or sit except on a teeny tiny bed. I wouldn't stay in "Ship Avanti" once again.

  • Very nice hostel. Great location and cozy atmosphere. Not good for couples, but good for traveling with friends.

  • This place was great. The rooms are very tiny, but what do you expect on a ship? The owner is awesome and very helping, and can be found on board most of the time. The ship is right near the Red Light District and close to the Train Station. If I go to Amsterdam again, I'll sure be staying there again!

  • The cabins were very very small, almost too small for "fully grown" adults. I took the upper bed in our cabin and hit my head several times in the night while trying to turn around. Anyway it was more than OK for 2 nights in one of the most exciting cities in Europe. Breakfast was nice. Staff was awesome and the location is almost perfect. Central but quiet, no streetsounds, no noise nothing desturbing at all at night! Oh, by the way: The Avanti is not suitable for small children up to 8 years !

  • Ship Avanti is a very nice place to stay in Amsterdam. It's far away from the madness of the city but only 10 minutes foot from it. You will save your money because they have a good breakfast and a refrigerator is available for guests. The staff is atencious and it has a very friendly environment!

  • We stayed two nights and are still very happy to made the choice. Though the rooms are very small, they contain a own sink and wardrobe. Perfect for a city trip where you're out for sightseeing most of the time. Nice common room and breakfast above average, compared to other hostels or B&B. The only complaint: Even though the entrance was locked with a code it was easy to get in through a open trapdoor on the deck.

  • The owner was awesome! Funny and friendly. Small rooms but its not bad. Only thing was the bathrooms were always locked even if no one was in them.

  • We really liked the trip and we can recommend it as well. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The ship is only 10-15min far away from Amsterdam Centraal (the main station) so is really easy to walk to the city-centre. But you should note, the cabines in the ship are really, really small (yes, it's a boat...). One tipp: About 5 minutes away from the ship is the public library . You can go there-on the 6floor is a terrace where you have a nice view about Amsterdam and it's for free! :-)

  • A little tight in the cabin but amazing experience for those who don't have a barge budget for Amsterdam.

  • It's good for an experience ,else I think its pricey since the room is tiny and hardly any place for 2 people to stand.
