your hostel is great for athmosphere, and a true love that you put on keepeng the Pekingyard so welcoming. The staff is very good, maybe just a little slow on serving food. The cleanliness is also very good, just few steps from excellent (italian standards...!). Value for money: the single room we found it little expencive+breakfast not encluded. Facilities are good, mabe wirelees in rooms would be great and drinkable water every day. We loved satying there and we missed Pekingyard when we left Claudia, from Italy ~ 30th Jan 2012

Peking Yard was homely and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good too. Location great, right near train station = easy access to Beijing sights. We really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend. Sarah, from Australia ~ 20th Dec 2011

This hostel is like a boutique hostel.The place is central, and was previously a hutong.The decor in the communallounge area was very tasteful the area was full of bouquets offresh and dried flowers, pottedorchids, antique furniture and comfortable couches. The food was a little on the pricey side and b/fast not particularly terrific but the illy coffee was hot and the service was good. First stay at a hostel outside Australia.Hostel's ambience,& free use of the internet good.One breakfast(scrambeled eggs/bacon)very nice.Dinner (beef curry & rice) average (prepackad sauce??).Ate out after that.Disappointed that description online not specific.eg No towelsprovided under 'linen'.No hire only purchase(35 RMB)'Guest kitchen'ofmicrowave & fridge in open passageway outside the comunity toilet. The bathroom was very damp and there was a lot of humidity that could not get out as there was no fan or aircon. Because of this the bathroom smelled horrible and rotten. - Situated in the Hutongs and about 5 minutes walk to Subway - I had to book a train ticket from Beijing to Xi'an the the staff were not really helpful so that I spent at least one day to get a ticket. Read Owner Comments Melina, from Switzerland ~ 16th Aug 2011
