A bit old fashion hostel. But it is very cheap, clean, safe and quiet. Big value for the price.

very safe inside the building and most of the guests are friendly. Met 2 girls and we went to Stanley park together.

I found this hostel is very safe and the staff is very friendly, they helped me a lot. I was here by myself, but they took good care of me.

This hostel is located probably in the worst neighbourhood in all of Canada; just one block from the famous East Hastings (i.e., drug and prostition capital of Canada). I would recommend spending the few extra dollars to stay somewhere in a better location...we didn't stay, we quickly booked elsewhere.

Very inexpensive-close to Chinatown and downtown. Be careful walking around...it's a block away from the notorious E. Hastings St.-A hangout for all of the destitute people in Vancouver...

We arrived in Vancouver on a rather hot day. After walking past Chinatown, and into an area no longer on the main downtown vancouver map, we reached the hostel. To begin, my travel partner and I both noticed that the occupants of the hostel were all men (which is not a safe place for two young women). The ammenities were not as alluded to on the website. There were actual swarms of flies by the bathrooms, the beds were cots, and there was a slight odor (which in all fairness may have just been the day we were there because of the heat, but still...). We thought we had found a great deal, but there is a reason why this hostel is so cheap. It was so bad that we left 10 minutes after our arrival and found another hostel to stay in. The positive was that it was in a quiet area, however I honestly don't know if it was a safe area.

I enjoyed my stay. It is more than just a bed for me. I like their price, the free services and the services from the staff. I'm actually still here till I find my apratment.

This accomodtion is located in the worst part of town (drugs, homeless, name it!). In a group of four, we could manage, but alone or in pair, I would have turned back.

It is very true that this cheapest hostel has great value. It is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the location is easy to be all the locations. It is also true that I saw several homeless people, but they didn't bother me at all
