This hostel was only ok.The room was fairly small, the bathrooms not great.Kitchen/eating areas quite good though.The 'free parking' as advertised on hostels.com is pushing it a bit..yes you can park for free, but the chances are it will be several blocks away, up several hills!They doubled prices for RWC, unlike many of the other NZ hostels we stayed in. charged me 3 times as much as anyone else because i was coming from scotland id been traveling for 3 days payed 50 a nite for a box size room with no window or ventilation and the first thing i had to do was change the bed if there is a zero raiting this place should get it and just so you know the wifi internet they boast is uslas at best if your not on top of the router you cant conect
This guy spent all his time here in the bar beside our hostel and was encouraged by the Bar owner who we have conflict with! to make bad comments and bad rating and all the comments made were lies! He was charged less than normal rate, cheap for this room. Had a clean tidy room and was asked if he was happy with the room and that we could give him a larger room and he said everything was good! Go Figure!!!

The hostel was not very clean. We had a double room inside, which was very small and not worth it. Next time we will spend a bit more money.
This couple were very rude to other guests and were spoken to by management and pointed out that such conduct towards others was not acceptable. This is what we get in return. our hostel is cleaned to a very high standard!
