Very comfortable rooms - mattress and comforters were extremely comfy! Close to the metro station - only a 15 minute walk. Staff was friendly, but Bern itself wasn't the most exciting place in Switzerland. Definite must is to do at least a day trip to another city like Luzern.

Marthahaus is much more of a B&B than a hostel, which makes it much more comfortable to stay in, but reduces the fun factor significantly for young travelers looking to meet new people. But the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly, the beds were super comfortable, and overall, this is a great place to stay.

I love the cleanliness of the house!
REALLY clean! And great location to Bern center. No need to even buy a train or bus pass! Also very friendly staff. They upgraded our room free of charge and gave us a private room with a balcony! Great place and Great Price!
