When I turned up, they knew nothing about my booking, and I had to find somewhere else to stay. I offered them my reference number, and they played dumb. They gave me a piece of paper with numbers on it and told me to find my name...? When I said there were no names on it, she had nothing to stay. Not happy, would not recommend booking this hostel online.

We managed to score a twin room here for a bargain 6 pounds a night, so we can't really complain about anything too much. But the staff at this hostel really are unhelpful. They don't speak english, so its almost impossible to book an extra night - don't even try to ask for any travel information or even a kettle! The heating is not 24 hours - it is only on for a couple of hours a day, so the rooms are pretty cold (but then not many places in tibet are heated so that shouldn't be your main criteria). We'd stay there again because of the quality of the rooms, location and the bargain basement price. Definitely not for the staff. (BTW - make sure you bargain the price. When we returned from our tour they tried to charge us more than double for the same room - cheeky!)

a word of warning to all who book to stay here - don't expect the staff to be friendly or helpful or infact have any knowledge of your booking . my advice is take a print-out! having said that the loaction is great.

Did not have our reservation from Hostelworld, would not accept that Hostelworld had already taken 10% and made us pay full rate, which was not as advertised. They did not have the room we booked and do not seem to update the website with their true availability or rates. Be careful booking online.

They had NOT got our order through hostelworld.com and we had to fight to get a room. The depositum was lost. NOT a good place to stay for MANY reasons. Trashy bathroom!!

It's a pleasant place to stay with a good atmosphere. However, they did not have my reservation information when I arrived at the hostel, and they didn't have any space in the type of room I booked. Also, the rates they advertise on hostelworld are slightly lower than the rates they actually charge at the hostel. It's not a bad place to stay, but I would recommend not booking online with them.
He is worse hostel in the one than I have been, bathroom was very dirty and they did not clean the room. The reception was incompetent and they did not discount to me I deposit of reserve of hostelworld.com the breakfast is free but only Chinese.

It\'s a big amazing for me to get to the hotel in Tibet. When I stand on the top, I can grasp the whole Potala palace\'s view.Cuz it\'s new hotel, the room is clean and service is good, even including free breakfast.
I made an online reservation for this hostel and received a confirmation, but my phone calls and e-mails were never answered. To this day I am not sure if this hostel even exists. I finally booked a different one at the last minute.
