Really nice place. The people were super nice and welcoming. The only thing is the steep hill you have to climb. Christine, from USA ~ 11th Nov 2009

Piccola Locanda is a truly charming hostel. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the bright colors and beautiful terrace will make you feel right at home. The cafe serves delicious breakfast (and free internet!) in the mornings and serves as a relaxing place to spend the evening after a long day of hiking. The only downside would be that the rooms are a little chilly in winter months, so pack warm clothes! Cameron, from USA ~ 18th Aug 2009

Well back in Denmark, we remember Piccola Locanda as a safe and friendly base for our stay in Cuzco. We were met with openness and hospitality and it was part of making our trip a great one! Anette and Benjamin Benjamin Sune, from Denmark ~ 18th Jul 2009

I traveled to Cuzco with a large group of people, which occupied several rooms. The only complaint I heard, besides the obligatory groans before climbing the steep steps from the Plaza de Armes, was that the person sleeping in the room next to the kitchen was awoken early every morning. The staff was very nice and extremely accommodating; the rooms and the building were clean and well maintained. This was definitely the best placed we stayed at during our visit to Peru. I really liked this hostel and have nothing bad to say about it. It is up a few steps from the Plaza de Armas, but that didn't bother me. I would recommend you stay here. Hattie, from USA ~ 6th Jul 2009

I cant say enough wonderful things about the staff and the charm of PL. It was a quiet and relaxing stay. My only cautions are: they dont take credit cards(many businesses in Peru dont) and PL is located on street that has 67 treacherous stairs on it. Everytime you leave you will have to take these stairs back, plus the hill that connects resbalosa street to the square. A taxi from the square will only cost you about a US $1. You will do alot of up and down in Cusco as it is. Luis, from USA ~ 19th Jun 2009

Amazing hostel - very clean and well kept. Location is up a really steep pedestrian street, but you get used to it. Staff were all amazing. Steven, from Canada ~ 27th May 2009

More like a mini-hotel. Cozy with lots of charm. Clean and comfortable. Staff are quiet and friendly. Restricted hours on their computers, 8:30a-9pm. Rooms have locked security boxes. Beautiful view of city from terrace. Simple, complimentary breakfast from 7:30a-11a is good. Uphill location is not so convenient, but close (5 minute downhill walk) to the main square. Even have tour guide books available. Nice if travelling with friends. We stayed for a week and definitely recommend. Ookie, from USA ~ 29th Mar 2009
