The hostel is very nice. Good Kitchen, very calm and relaxing place. But Downtown Hilo is too far to walk. Dorm had no window but air condition and toilet. Brian (Staff) is amazing, but the owner wants you to leave immediately after check-out (10am). That sucks, especially when your flight departs at 7pm. It's the first hostel i've experienced this. This website tells you there is one pineapple park hostel in Hilo, but there are two more on the big island. one is at Koan side and the other one is near from the volcano park. I booked and paid for five nights for staying at Hilo but when I got there the owner, Annie, told me that I could stay any two hostels as I wished. So I stayed at Hilo one for first 3 nights and one nights at Kona one. At the Kona side hostel, the owner also does renting Kayak and Snorkeling, and I could have discount f Donggeol, from South Korea ~ 17th Mar 2009
