The water pressure in the shower is very weak. The water is hot, but it trickles out. The beds were not made up each day nor was the bathroom cleaned or the dirt bin emptied out. Teresa, from South Africa ~ 23rd Nov 2009

This is a fantastic hostel. We arrived at 5.30am and the lady who owns the hostel had a pot of green tea ready for us and they even lent us another room due to us being early our room wasn't ready yet. Our room was right beside the courtyard and was very clean withva decent shower and a lot of character! It's situated right on one of the best streets in pingyao and there was always a good atmosphere in the common room. Highly recommended!!! Samuel, from Northern Ireland ~ 4th May 2009

The location in the old town is really nice and quite, there is a beautiful courtyard and the staff were friendly. But our ensuite room was small and the toilet smelled so bad, that you can't get it out of the nose in the whole room. Thomas, from Germany ~ 15th Apr 2009
