This hostel is more for the adventurous type of traveler. First impression is quite poor, but once you get settled in the people and overall friendly character of Piratas wins you over. On top of that, the staff usually organize fun stuff to do like bbq night and the lapas street party. If you can't get over the cleanliness issue, don't stay here. Jessica, from USA ~ 23rd Oct 2011

I stayed here for two nights and I am very happy to stay here. I am on the second floor and have wifi here without any problem. I like herer also all the staff members are really friendly. But the building is old so you will be dissapointed if you expect nice and clean hostel. DAE JONG, from South Korea ~ 28th Aug 2011

We had a problem here, despite we have a reservation the dude in the front desk didn't respected it, he said that he didn't releaze and he can't stay there, besides he didn't help us to find an other place, a very annoying person. The place was awful, and dirty, the worst hostal I've been, I have to accepeted that the location is grat, but that wasn't a good experience. Angel, from Mexico ~ 14th Jul 2011
