It is your choice whether you go camping and say you went to venice... or if you go to venice. Fourth time in venice... once you pay for the bus trips or cab rides... you only saved a couple euros than if you had stayed in a cheap hostel IN venice. Just ask yourself if its worth the inconvenience.

We stayed in a house tent which was basic but fine. The only thing is that it is stated that it is \'lockable\' - yes there is a padlock on one end of the zip door, but the other end can be opened aswell rendering the lock useless! Also, the slats fell out of the beds. The times for the shuttle bus from the city are wrong on this site - they run just about every hour on the half hour from Venice to the campsite so you don\'t have to catch public buses if you arrive in the middle of the day as we did. The only other problem - there is always a line for reception so we needed to run to catch our bus and couldn\'t wait around to get our deposit back for the swipe card we didn\'t even use! The vibe of the place seemed fun and its the kind of place you can just hang around if you don\'t want to go in to the city.

Location was out of the way, but bus provided by campsite was only 4 euro return to Venice and there was a variety of times to come back - so not limited. House tents had electricity and were comfortable. We'd definitely stay here if we returned to Venice. Also good communal area for eating and drinking own food.

I know of people who stayed at the campsite who were at Venezia Santa Lucia and waiting over 3 hours for the shuttle bus because they didn't have a ticket. This is absolutely awful and you should be ashamed. Hire more buses, do something, but don't make your own customers wait 3 hours for the shuttle bus!

NOISY - drunk english boys versus aeroplanes versus roosters... But great for everything else. Make sure you get to the bus early or else you'll have to wait another hour until the next one.

The place is OK, the problam is that it is far from Venice and they charge you 2 Euros to get there. If you are from U.S. you will really enjoy the kind of parties they have.
