lovely staff and free wifi, which was great. hostel is very nice and the location is nice but its about 25 to half an hours bus ride from christchurch city so a bit too out of the way. Peter, from Ireland ~ 6th Apr 2009

Unfortunately the room we were staying in was not clean. We got in very late, so we stayed anyhow. The next morning we informed the front desk staff and they not only refunded the money for the next night we were supossed to stay, but that night also. This is definitely not the best place I ever stayed. New Brighton is boring and the hostel is not really anything special. I would not recommend this hostel to my friends. Wouter, from Netherlands ~ 25th Feb 2009
