I was travelling by myself and thought I'd get lonely, but this hostel is so friendly- I never had a lonely moment! Made heaps of friends & had a lot of fun. They always have something going on, trips to North Shore or just hanging out having a drink. Great! Leena Charlotte, from Sweden ~ 8th Dec 2011

Fabulous staff! Much better sense of community than the Beachcomber hostel. Do not miss out on the AMAZING (and ultra-discounted) excursions. Thanks for an awesome stay. Julianna, from USA ~ 21st Sep 2011

I was worried after reading how dirtythis hostel was. This is absolutely untrue when I was there. The rooms and bathrooms are actually cleaner than the hi hostel I stayed in Wakiki prior to moving here. My dorm was cleaned and tidied daily. The only problem I had was, there were no lockers in my room. I had to go sightseeing with my passport, lap top and cash for my 2 weeks stopover in South Korea on my way back to Singapore. Very poor hostel, the worst in 7 months of travelling. So dirty and worn for the prices, bathroom and bedroom dirty and falling apart. The only access to private rooms means walking through dorm rooms. Daily 6am rubbish collections outside private rooms, very loud. Staff drinking throughout shift and very unhelpful. Great location for the beach, but plenty of hotels around the corner offering the same price (try last minute.com). For the best Hawaiian experience, head to North Shore. Aloha. We had booked to stay in this hostel for 4 nights. We only stayedone! And that was only because all the hotels and hostels in Waikiki were full. This place is extremely dirty. We had booked a private room and the floof was covered in dirt and dust. The sheets were clean, bu the place was revolting I wouldn´t stay here if you paid me, i would prefer to sleep with the homeless people on the beach! Gemma, from England ~ 18th Feb 2011
