Nice Place however worth knowing that the front rooms are very loud and stay light almost all night due to a sign out the front. If u can request other rooms it may be worth doing.

BED BUGS and an EXTREMELY NOISY bar downstairs that plays music until the wee hours of the night. we switched to another hostel. i would not recommend that place to a friend.

The aircon didn't work in the original room we paid for, so we were able to move to a different room, but had to pay extra to have a room with the air con working!

Had a pretty grim stay here. There was building work on the roof, which i was told when i checked in (the drilling was deafening) wouldn't happen in the mornings, only the afternoons. It started at 8.30am. My room was windowless, and the air-con was shared with the adjacent room so i had no control over whether it was on or not, as the controls were in the other room. So my room was stifling most of the time. The room on the other side's air-con was right next to the paper-thin wall, and was incredibly loud and made my room's walls vibrate loudly so sleeping wasn't an option when this was on. The staff spoke very little English and on arrival, didn't tell me where the toilets/showers etc were - just gave me my key. One of the 2 showers on my floor wasn't working, which they also didn't tell me. Asking for help or advice on places to go/transport etc was useless as they didn't seem to know anything or speak adequte English to explain it. So, i avoided being in the hostel at all, until just before i went to bed. Definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone - avoid!!! I stayed in a hostel in Chinatown last year which was cheaper and much, much nicer.

called earlier: 1. to ask whether towel & blanket will be provided. Property confirmed saying both will be provided without charges. Arrived at property, both not provided. Need to pay for rental. 2. to inform & confirm on arrival time & date. Upon arriving, property's staff told us the room we booked was not available for us at that check in time. Ended up staying in a non-air con room but was charged at air-con room rate 3. the room is very small & stuffy, no space to even move a bit, no place to hang clothes. low quality mattress and pillow. not comfortable. Can get better condition with comparable rate in other lodging

Generally a great place to stay with good free breakfast. Roof garden was lovely. Water supply very sporadic (showers regularly not working). Air con is shared between rooms so cant be switched off so rooms very cold.

Extremely helpful front desk and brilliant roof terrace, cool for breakfast or a few drinks at night.

The rooms upstairs are roomy and comfy, with lots of character. The rooms on the lower (2nd) floor are tiny, hot, and noisy windowless boxes. Pray you don't get stuck in one of those!
