we loved it here, stayed an extra night. Tony is lovely and even took a group of us to see wild kangaroos and to Timbertown which was great. Good location - 10 min walk to main shopping street and port (and 2 min walk to bottle shop/food shops). Koala hospital down the road is excellent. Port Macquarie is seriously underated in the guide books but its such a pretty place and there is plenty of free stuff to do! lyndsey, from England ~ 30th Aug 2009

We had a great stay at this hostel. The manager Tony is very helpful, and is a sound guy. He really made our stay comfortable and worth while. The hostel is like a home away from home.Tony and the other staff made everyone feel very welcome. We would definately recommend this hostel to anyone who is passing Port Macquarie.
