The double-rooms have a ventilation but there are no windows for fresh air. It gets very sticky at night.

Great Hostel with kitchen and flat screen tv with movies etc. Very plain breakfast - but breakfast all the same. Only down fall - smoking in the foyer allowed so it wafts into the kitchen/dining/ lounge area. Great Hostel though

Vera was lovely, and very helpfull :) We enjoyed ourselves here, especially the 'free food' section which came in handy when we were running low on cash :) Prepare yourself for the mount everest size hill to walk up. stay here.

It was the nicest hostel I stayed in on a 2 month trip all over Europe. I'd recommend it to anyone. Plus the people there were awesome.
Hot rooms, could of done with some ventilation, but everything else pretty nice with it.

Porto Downtown Hostel is the BEST hostel I\'ve stayed in my life so far. (I stayed in many hostels before using hostelworld.com) It\'s clean, comfy and cosy. Also it\'s 45 mins away from the airport, in the city centre. The market (Bolhao) and the train station (S Bento) are very close, too. The staff always kept me informed where I should go and what I should see. The lockers come free with the dorm keys and there are two computers for the guests to use skype or just surf the net. The kitchen is well equipped, however I didn\'t cook too much. I can\'t talk about the fun side of things, because when I stayed, many travellers just stayed for one night and left soon, but the biggest party of the year (Sao Joao) is in June and the hostel was full for that day. Great value for the money! All the best guys!
Most AMAZING hostel I've ever stayed in!! Everything was clean, modern, and well-done, and the São João party was great fun!! Beijinhos a toda a gente!!! :p
