- “ Showers were kind of messy but otherwise it was clean. Porzellaneum is a dorm, not a hotel so count with that. ”

- “ Helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. Accommodation simple but clean. What struck me most: the historical background of the building (you could feel the K.&K. monarchy) . Nice yard and "green" view out of my window (3rd level). Breakfast I wouldn't recommend - o.k. 5 EUR is not even much but add few EUR and you will have an exellent one in the neighborhood. Best regards to the staff! Joerg, 56, german geologist ”

- “ My only complaint with Hostel Porzellaneum is that when you get there it turns out the CHECK OUT TIME IS 9AM. And you can purchase a later check out for 5 euros of 1pm At no point in my email, or during the booking process does it state the checkout time, so I found this an underhand tactic to make 5 euros, and therefore not such good value of £22 for 1 night. ”

- “ I have to recommend this accomodation. Standard, clean dorms with really nice and friendly staff, moreover close to Vienna center (tram in the same street as main entrance). ”

- “ Only bad this is that I didn't know there was no elevator. The rest was very good, focusing on the more than educated crew. ”

- “ Good, clean, rather calm hostel, located in the city`s center, but in a quiet region.Famous for being the oldest student`s hostel in Vienna. Facilities are for the common use only. But better so than nothing. Good for those who needs just the place to sleep, especially considering the price. ”

- “ Very nice hostel but ... no free WIFI :-( At 7 a.m. noise of cleaning - noisy handcart with plastic wheels. ”

- “ Nothing special about this hostel. The atmosphere wasn't too special and the shower system was weird. The staff however was excellent and fluent in English and they had great advice to give us on everything we asked them. The location was awesome, near public transport. Definately worth every penny. Good for low budget travellers. ”

- “ It is basically a college dorm room. THe room was okay, it was nice to have a sink in the room. The TV room and ouside tables were really nice. The computer room was lacking and no free wifi. The staff was nice. ”

- “ This hostel was good for this point of my trip, as I was quite tired and just needed somewhere to sleep without being disturbed. The location and price were good, but I would not describe it as a hostel, more of a hotel. Massive building, never met another person staying there. No bar or area for meeting fellow travellers. Clean and good facilities, but no character or atmosphere. ”

- “ I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a 10 minute walk to the metro and there was a tram line very close by. I loved that it was in a quiet section of town and I had fantastic sleep. I paid as much for a room with 2 twin beds as I would have for a 6 bed room at other hostels. There were lots of quiet bars and cafes close by too. I would definitely stay there again. ”

- “ The single room was very very looking like an orphanage room but still, a price so low in Wien (unless going to sleep under a bridge) is very hard to find. Thank you guys and have a nice day. ”

- “ Located a bit further away from the center but a tram from in front of the place helps you to get to places and there's plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Otherwise, there's not much hostel-like atmosphere but if you're bored there are two ping-pong tables and a tv room to spend your time on. Breakfast was just white bread, some cheese and corn flakes. ”

- “ nice location! very convenient, just 10 minutes from the center by tram. old furniture. service is ok. the only drawback is no air-conditioning, it was really hot even in night ”
- 7 July 2012 Anastasia
- “ This hostel is sufficient as long as it is not hot outside. It does not have air conditioning. It's actually a dormitory during the school year, so rooms are typical (2 twin beds, 2 desks, sink, 2 chairs) but quite small. There is a radiator for visitors in winter. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The internet situation is strange... this time it was free, but you must get 30 minute cards from the reception each time you wanted to go online...it doesn't seem like the most efficient way to hand ”

- “ The location and the staff were excellent. Old old furnitures and not a very clean room. Nice garden though! ”
