We had such a good time at pousada ancora! Nelson the guy in charge, is the best guy ever. Really helpful and nice!! It reminded us to big brother!! we met a lot of people and became like a big family!

Very friendly staff, very helpful. Nice and tidy rooms. Short walk to the beach but worth staying here for the cleanliness. Great breakfast!! They dont have visa facilities though, only mastercard.
The property is gorgeous, but we did have some ants in the room. But there´s an absolutely massive TV, and the family who owns the hostel is extremely nice. And breakfast is quite tasty.

We had an amazing stay at Pousada Ancora - the host family are extremely helpful! Location is perfect if you want to get away from the bustling centre of Florianopolis and stay near the beach, on the east coast of the island. All amenities you need are close by and there are local buses which are pretty regular! A really good place to chill out at! Loved it!

Very clean, fridges in all rooms. Breakfast is out of this world, keeps you full allday. The only draw back is that the hostel is 15 walk from the beach. But at least it´s nice and quite.

Delicious breakfast, that is a nice change after only getting bread...hard bread at other hostels through out south america. Staff were very warm and kind. Great smiles every morning and greeted you with a lovely Bom Dia all mornings!

according to the web, the place was supposed to be 100m from the beach, but it turned out to be 1km! Too far away, on the main street. The rooms weren-t looked after and no towels changed. For the price we paid, way overpriced and disappointing.
