Pousada Favelinha in Playa Del Carmen, Brazil

Best thing about this hostel was the view. Awesome view, and friendly neighbors. But we paid quite a bit more for this hostel (which is in a Favela), than we did in our more luxurious hostels one block from Copacabana Beach. We were the only two in the entire hostel with two dogs running around and jumping all over you so there was no "atmosphere". Hallway lights didn't work, bathroom was very dirty. Pousada is a great place to stay if you want to feel like you are in a local neighbour hood. People are very friendly and you feel slightly off the beaten track, but close enough to ameneties and fun. The view is completely breathtaking and its almost worth staying there just for this. The downside is the staff are quite unfriendly. We stayed for one week. Eventually the German guy talked with us a little. but the woman barely smiled at us in 6 days.
