Nice hostel really close to metro and tram / bus. Would have liked to have had more orientation on arriving to hostel, as I got to know of certain facilities much later than desired. Receptionists ok. Ideal place for those who wouldn't like to spend a lot. Small problem was smell of gas in corridor, however would definitely return to same hostel if I go back to Budapest and will recommend it to friends. Budapest itself is also an excellent destination although almost no one speaks english.

first of all, the directions from Keleti station were inaccurate. secondly, this hostel was VERY dirty--and i travel frequently and sleep on friends' couches, so i like to think my standards for cleanliness are quite low. this place did not even have soap or paper towels in the bathroom. the staff were frequently missing, which led to confusion. my friend and i ended up placing the (bare bones) breakfast out and making the coffee one morning, because the staff was nowhere to be found. when we voiced our desire to leave early due to the circumstances, the owner became very argumentative and refused to reimburse our payment for the night we weren't staying.

Overall, it was an OK hostel. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, but not a bad place if you are looking for something more on the quite side rather than the party side.

Overall the hostel was agreeable and me and my friend would probably have stayed there our whole time in Budapest if it wouldn't have been for the not only greedy but also quite unnpleasant owner which acctually was the reason for us leaving. He did something that was very unappropriate for a person with somewhat of a responsability.

Prima was a pleasure. I stayed there for a week during the Sziget festival. I'm not normally used to staying in hostels but this one was great. Joseph is an absolute legend. He even did laundry for some of the travellers which was really kind. All in all it was a great experience and the other backpackers were very friendly. I would Prima to anyone. Dan O'Boyle, Ireland

I booked a bed in a mixed gender room and was given a cot in the middle of the floor where my hips touched the ground if laid on my side. Also, there was a cot pressed up against mine so I slept literally five inches from another guest.
