The rooms have no locks, but there are big lockers where you can put at least one big backpack and your daypack. Locks for those are sold for 2 pounds. Nice rooms, mattresses could be better. Many clean showers with complimentary towels to dry your feet. Anne, from Netherlands ~ 5th Aug 2009

Bedroom doors should have locks. Being too high in the sky, lift facilities should be provided. Andrew Kim Yam, from Malaysia ~ 19th May 2009

This place was very dirty, the carpets looked like they had not been cleaned in month and the sheets on the bed smelled like sweat and were disgusting. Most of the showers were out of order. I have stayed in over 50 hostels in my life and this one is in the top five worst. Some of the staff very very nice and helpful others weren't so nice and helpful. Avoid this hostel if you value cleanliness. Jason, from Canada ~ 14th May 2009

The location was fantastic. Lots of stairs to walk up to reach the hostel :) There was lots of regulars living there and at times you felt like you were intruding, but they were all very friendly so it was easy to feel welcome. I enjoyed my stay there. Adam, from Australia ~ 16th Dec 2008

The hostel is a little bit eclectic and although there was a shortage of showers sometimes, it was really nice and clean. The staff was friendly as well. Elizabeth, from USA ~ 24th Nov 2008
