  • Our Hostel room was awesome! so big with lots of space. and the bathroom was perfect too. they cleaned our room so well every day (we had been at a music festival so our room was covered in mud and dirt and they didnt even bat an eye lid - looked like a new room every day) the location in queens doesnt really have anything much around it but the 2 subway stops right outside make it easy to get everywhere and the fact that the subway runs 24 hours makes it even easier! the kitchen is great too!

  • Very friendly staff, clean rooms, and a kitchen! This was a great place to stay, and there are subway stops really close, so if you're concerned about staying in Queens vs. staying in Manhattan, don't be!

  • This hostels is one of the best for sure. The place looks very new, clean, the location is perfect just 2 blocks away from the subway. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the noise that the beds make when some one move lol other than that nothing to complain. Next time I go to NY, I already know that I don't have to look for a place. I already know where I'm going to stay.

  • Really nice place for the money paid. I wasn't expecting much but I was really pleased with the place. It's easy to get downtown and the staff is really friendly.

  • The rooms are brand new, is almost than staying in a 4 stars hotel. The problem is that the Hostel is too close from Subway line, so is a little bit noisy.

  • for ppl who sleep on the bed that close to the air conditioner, the temp is too cold. maybe u can add some curtain on the air conditioner and make sure the wind won't blow to customers directly.

  • The hostel is okay but the room was very noisy due to the subway train tracks in front the windows and bad soundproofing. Earplugs recommended.

  • Excellent hostel, but it should have breakfast included and free computers to use... just saying, not everybody has a laptop and every hostel should have something to eat! breakfast is a must. Otherwise excellent location, rooms, staff, everything REALLY GOOD!

  • It's very easy to find Q4. I stayed only for 1 night because of attending a concert. The bed I booked was 8 bed female en suite. The bathroom and the toilet are separate. very thoughtful arrangement. Very clean(I'm a neat freak). Check-in and check-out both were fast. Kitchen looks neat though I didn't use any of the facilities. It's just by the road and several MTA trains crossing. might be a little bit sound for some people but I'm a good sleeper so that's none of my concern

  • Great hostel in a beautiful building that used to be a bank. Designed to look more like a boutique hotel. Rooms and common spaces very clean, staff helpful and friendly. Great common spaces with plenty of room for people to hang out, full kitchen. Hostel is in Queens, but pretty quick and easy to get to on subway. You can hear trains at night, but it didn't bother me at all even though I'm a light sleeper.

  • I would most definitely stay here again. The staff was more than accommodating and very friendly! The hostel was very close to the subway station with a few close restaurants nearby. I'm looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to NYC!!!

  • I had reservation for 2 nights with 3 big luggages because I was going back to my country. They told me that I had to move the room for the second night. I was fine with that but the problem was my iphone charger was lost. I asked the security who was the big guy at the front desk about Did they find the charger in the previous room that I stayed. He didn't try to find or ask others about that. He just was standing and shaking his head not even talk to me in a word. Because of I am asian ?

  • I don't look for much in a hostel but I was in a 6 sleeper with 5 other girls and there was no room for me to even be able to get in my bag. Only PowerPoint was behind my neighbors matress below me and no lights if shelves for the top bunk people.

  • Q4 hostel is clean and modern, though the rooms are quite tiny . It's quite well located because there are two subway stations at 5mn walk , it makes it easy to go to Manhattan.Unfortunately proximity with the outside subway tracks makes it noisy, even at night. As far as the hostel kitchen facilities are concerned : it is definitely under equiped , not enough plates, bowls, glasses, mugs etc . at the rush hour when plenty of people want to cook and eat it's really complicated !

  • Sure, you tend to be little vary about the neighborhood which looks non-residential and vast but Q4 extends an aura of warmth and safety and is situated in a prime location which is just 100m from two subway exists. The hotel itself is clean and cosy and the staff is really courteous, friendly and makes your stay extra cool. Nothing much to be said about shared accommodation but I spoke to a guy who stayed in a private room and it was supposed to really nice.

  • It's an average hostel, but I wouldn't recommend booking it if you have some time to look for other variants. I stayed in a four-bed dorm, the room was very tiny and so was the bathroom. It was uncomfortable to change and take a shower. AC is another problem, it was cold at night. Don't forget to take earplugs as you'll hear trains all night. The common area with the kitchen was often dirty, plus expect to see a huge crowd and little space if you want to make breakfast or dinner there.

  • Well, this is a really nice place. First, traffic is awesome, easy to travel to downtown. Second, staff are nice and friendly. Third, it's not very noisy even though it's right by the high way and the bridge. Fourth, nice basement for chilling out. It's not 100% perfect though. Dorm is a little bit stinky, since there lives 6 guys. The bed is too soft for me. It cost you 3 dollars to print, 5 dollars to do the laundry. But it's good for 38 dollars per night in NYC. Highly recommend.

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
