The hostel is located in an old house which has a pub on the ground floor. The pub is the common area of the hostel. Location is good, but not central. Chelsea is a quiet neighbourhood, quite close to Central London. Closest tube station is not super close, but no longer than 10 mins walk. The rooms are clean, both the room itself and the sheets they give you. Showers are shared, but are clean and with modern equipment as well. Toilets are shared as well and are regularly cleaned by the st Gaston, from Argentina ~ 4th May 2012

Pros: really cheap, great location in Chelsea, great atmosphere with the bar downstairs, good showers, comfy beds, really fast Wifi, the staff are really friendly and helpful. Cons: about a 10-minute walk from the Tube, the rooms are tiny, only 2 showers and 1 toilet for the entire floor (more are downstairs), sometimes the Wifi gets jammed and you have to wait to get on. Overall: great, great value for the money, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Mallory, from USA ~ 16th Apr 2012

The Queen Elisabeth is a very nice hostel located between Chelsea and Fulham, very friendly and clean. The building itself is older than your great-grandma (like one of the signs states), but the things that really matter are in perfect shape! The staff is friendly and will try to remember your name, the showers are perfect, better than my shower at home. Lockers come for 2 GBP and are a little small, but big enough to store your laptop. Wi-Fi is superfast. I really recommend this place! Stéphane, from Switzerland ~ 4th Apr 2012

The facilities were all very old and much of the time quite dirty. The older staff members were friendly and helpful but the younger staff were quite the opposite for the most part. Quite far from anything that you would go to London to see, you will have to take a bus or a train to get anywhere. I wouldn't recommend it. It did seem to be well secured however. Awesome hostel, easy to find, friendly staff. Locks on doors very secure, and the most comfortable mattress I've slept on out of 100+ hostels, and showers which actually work properly which is a real novelty! I'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Nick, from New Zealand ~ 17th Nov 2011
